Landry Shamet recently expressed his excitement about joining the New York Knicks on a partially guaranteed contract. The 6-foot-4 guard emphasized his desire to win as a key factor in his decision.
In an interview with Zach Braziller of the New York Post, Shamet stated, “I want to win, I want to compete, we all do. Anybody in the NBA that says otherwise is lying.” He underscored the competitive nature of the league and the importance of striving for success.
Shamet reflected on his previous season, noting, “Last year was last year. It was what it was.” He is eager to move forward with his new team and build strong chemistry with his teammates. His focus now is on contributing to the Knicks’ success.
Last season, Shamet played for the Washington Wizards, where he averaged 7.1 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists over 15.8 minutes per game.
