New Brooklyn Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez has already set a tough, no-nonsense tone in training camp, as described by Brian Lewis of the New York Post. Fernandez’s demanding approach seems to be pushing the team to new limits, as the players adjust to his style.
Veteran guard Dennis Schröder, who has been in the league for over a decade, remarked on the intensity of the camp.
“Probably one of the most unique, and hardest training camps I’ve been through in these 12 years now,” Schröder said, acknowledging the challenge while also expressing his appreciation for the structure.
“Like it, though, so far. Everybody’s buying into it. Coach and coaches are doing a great job of keeping us organized and together. It’s been great.”
Fernandez’s emphasis on discipline and organization seems to be resonating with the team, as Schröder highlights the collective commitment to the new system.
With the players responding positively to Fernandez’s leadership, the Nets are looking to build strong chemistry and a resilient mindset heading into the season.
