In their 118-114 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, the Phoenix Suns demonstrated their shooting prowess by hitting 41% of their 3-point attempts.
Kevin Durant noted some positive developments on the offensive end during the game, as reported by Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic.
“I liked that we generated good shots. We are able to get (21) 3s up in the 1st half,” Durant remarked, highlighting the team’s ability to create quality scoring opportunities.
However, he also acknowledged areas that need improvement, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.
“Defensively, pick-and-roll coverage, it’ll get better. That’s where we struggled at the most,” he added, indicating that while the offense showed promise, the team must enhance their defensive execution to ensure overall success moving forward.
The Suns’ blend of offensive firepower and recognition of defensive weaknesses reflects their commitment to continuous improvement as they aim to solidify their performance in the upcoming games.
