Free agent forward Philip Alston is set to sign an Exhibit 10 contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to sources cited by Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress.

The 22-year-old went undrafted after completing his senior year at Loyola Chicago, where he averaged 12.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in 29 games. Prior to his two-year stint at Loyola, Alston played three seasons at California University of Pennsylvania.

Alston participated in the 2023 NBA Summer League with Milwaukee, playing in three games in Las Vegas. During these appearances, he averaged 4.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12.3 minutes per game.

His standout performance came in his final Summer League game, where he was given a starting role and responded with 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a steal.

Although the Bucks’ roster is nearly full, with 14 players on guaranteed contracts, Andre Jackson on a partially guaranteed deal, and no remaining two-way slots, Alston’s Exhibit 10 contract allows him to prove his worth.

While it’s unlikely he will make the final roster, the contract offers an incentive – a bonus of up to $77.5K – if Alston spends at least 60 days with the Bucks’ G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd.

This could be a stepping stone for him to further develop his skills and potentially earn a future opportunity with the team.
