According to Amick, Golden State is hoping for an opportunity where “the wheels fall off somewhere,” allowing them to acquire a superstar.
While the Warriors are well-known for building their team through strategic signings and draft picks, acquiring players of LeBron and Giannis’ caliber remains a distant dream. The franchise is currently constrained by the NBA’s salary cap and the high price tags attached to such stars.
Amick clarified that Golden State isn’t actively pursuing these players. Instead, the team is monitoring the situation in hopes that one of these superstars might eventually become available.
