The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially announced their coaching staff for the 2024-25 season under new head coach Kenny Atkinson.

Johnnie Bryant has been named Associate Head Coach, while Jordan Ott, Mike Gerrity, DeMarre Carroll, Trevor Hendry, Omar Cook, Bryan Tibaldi, and Nate Reinking join as Assistant Coaches.

Bryant brings over a decade of NBA coaching experience, having spent the last four seasons with the New York Knicks. Before that, Bryant worked for the Utah Jazz, where he developed several NBA players.

Ott, formerly an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets, reunites with Atkinson after their time together in Brooklyn. Ott’s background includes experience as a video coordinator for the Atlanta Hawks and Michigan State University.

Gerrity steps up after leading the Cleveland Charge, the Cavaliers’ NBA G League affiliate. His tenure with the Charge was highlighted by a playoff run and consistent player development, aligning him well with Cleveland’s philosophy.

Former NBA player Carroll joins Atkinson’s staff after spending two seasons coaching with the Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks. Carroll’s 11-year playing career, including time under Atkinson with the Nets, brings valuable insight to the team.

Hendry, who worked with the Nets as head video coordinator, adds expertise in player development and operations. Hendry’s experience spans across roles with both the Nets and their G League affiliate.

Cook continues his tenure with the Cavaliers after serving as an assistant coach last season. Cook’s extensive playing career included stints in the NBA, G League, and several international leagues.

Tibaldi returns for his third season with the Cavaliers, having previously worked in various coaching and video coordinator roles with several college programs and the Chicago Bulls.

Reinking enters his second season as assistant coach, bringing experience from his head coaching role with the Cleveland Charge and his leadership of the Great Britain national team.

In addition to the coaching staff, the Cavaliers have bolstered their player development team. Alex Sarama joins as Director of Player Development, with DJ Ham as Player Development/Video Assistant and Andrew Olson as Shooting Coach. Austin Peterson will manage coaching analytics.

The Cavaliers also announced the hiring of Patrick Licursi as Advance Scout, Aaron Robinson and Luke Webb as Video Assistants, and Adrian Culea as Special Assistant to the Head Coach.
