Darius Days has signed a one-year deal with the Illawarra Hawks of Australia’s National Basketball League, according to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc.

Days, who turns 25 next month, initially joined the Miami Heat on a two-way contract after going undrafted in 2022 but was waived before the season.

He was then picked up by the Rockets, where he spent his rookie year on a two-way deal, appearing in just four NBA games. Although he signed another two-way contract in 2023, he was cut by Houston before the regular season began.

Over the past two seasons, the 6’7″ forward mainly played with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets’ G League affiliate, where he averaged 16.0 points and 6.9 rebounds in 27.4 minutes over 45 games last season.

He also played for the Winnipeg Sea Bears in the Canadian Elite Basketball League this spring. The move to Illawarra marks his first stint overseas.
