Utah Jazz point guard Colin Sexton boldly declared himself as a top 10 NBA point guard during a recent appearance on the “It Is What It Is” podcast.

Sexton, known for his confident demeanor, did not hesitate when asked if he believes he ranks among the league’s elite.

“If I’m putting myself in there, for sure. I put myself against anybody,” Sexton responded, via HoopsHype.

The former first-round pick went on to explain the mindset that drives him on the court.

“At the end of the day, I don’t back down from nobody. I got a different type of chip on my shoulder,” he said.

Sexton also pointed to his work ethic, stating, “I got a different type of grind that when I step between those lines, it’s me against you.”

The 25-year-old guard didn’t stop at self-praise; he also took the opportunity to praise his draft class.

“The 2018 draft class is the best draft class for sure. We definitely got the most talent ever,” Sexton claimed.

Sexton’s confidence is backed by his solid performance last season, where he averaged 18.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game.
