Former NBA All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas has expressed his desire to join the Seattle SuperSonics in a front office or coaching capacity.
Thomas, who is currently awaiting another opportunity to play in the league, has his sights set on a future role with the team.
“I need [to be] in the front office/coaching staff when the Sonics come back… That’s the play!” Thomas tweeted, outlining his ambitions for the team’s potential return.
Seattle is anticipated to be a top contender for an NBA expansion team in the coming years. The city’s strong basketball history and fan base make it a prime candidate for the league’s expansion plans.
Thomas’s tweet reflects his eagerness to contribute to the SuperSonics’ revival in a significant role. His previous NBA experience and All-Star credentials add weight to his aspirations.
The SuperSonics, who were last active before relocating in 2008, have a storied past and a dedicated fan base. Their return would be a major event for both the city and the league.
