Serbia, France, and Canada have all seen significant improvements in the latest FIBA World Ranking

The USA remains at the top following their gold medal victory at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Serbia has climbed two spots to secure second place, surpassing Germany with 758.9 points.

France’s advancement to the Gold Medal Game at the Paris Olympics has propelled them to fourth place, up five spots since March 2024.

France is now the highest-climbing nation in the Top 20.

Canada, benefiting from their first Olympic run in 24 years and a third-place finish at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, has risen to fifth place.

Greece and Puerto Rico each moved up one spot, with Greece now at 13th and Puerto Rico at 15th.

South Sudan made the most significant leap, jumping from 34th to 23rd after their debut Olympics, and now ranks as the top African team, surpassing Côte d’Ivoire.

Cameroon also saw a positive change, moving up five spots to 64th following their strong performance at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Latvia.

The Philippines advanced four positions to 34th, while Japan moved up five places to 21st, boosted by their performance at the Olympics.

Costa Rica achieved the biggest jump in the Top 100, rising from 89th to 71st.

El Salvador entered the Top 100 with a notable 23-place improvement to 103rd, thanks to their performance in the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup Central American Pre-Qualifiers.
