Here’s Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young on how he uses having a signature shoe with Adidas to inspire kids.

(via DeepCut with VicBlends):

“I was at Adidas All-American Camp, McDonald’s All-American Camp, and there were some higher level guards that got treated better than I did back then. Now, I’ve got a shoe with Adidas. So it’s kinda also a little bit back towards them, too. I don’t think that’s a diss towards Adidas, it’s just part of it, that’s just who I am. I just always had that motto, and I want to give that type of inspiration to the kids, too, that you put that shoe on like, ‘I’m just a 6-1, 6-2 kid from Norman, Oklahoma that a lot of people didn’t believe in, and I’ve got these.’ So, it’s kinda inspiration.”
