Former NBA player Royce White won the GOP primary to challenge Sen. Amy Klobuchar in November. White, who played for the Sacramento Kings in 2014, triumphed in a competitive field with strong backing from Trump allies, including Rep. Matt Gaetz, Kari Lake, and Mike Lindell.
His win over Joe Fraser, who had support from former GOP senators and a governor, signals a shift within the Minnesota GOP. White has raised over $125,000 and has $53,000 cash available for the general election.
