Team USA head coach Steve Kerr is preparing for a tough quarterfinals matchup against Brazil.
Kerr’s squad won Group C at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with a perfect 3-0 record.
Brazil finished third in Group B, defeating Japan but losing to Germany and France.
Kerr addressed the upcoming clash, highlighting Brazil’s strengths.
“They’re very physical,” Kerr said in an interview.
He noted that Brazil is the top offensive rebounding team in the tournament.
Kerr emphasized Brazil’s shooting capabilities, especially their performance against Japan.
“They made 17 threes against Japan,” he pointed out. “So they got a lot of really good shooters.”
Kerr praised Brazil’s effort and competitive spirit on the court.
“They compete play after play,” he stated.
He stressed the importance of readiness and resilience for Team USA.
“We’ll have to be ready for their physicality and their shooting,” Kerr added.
Kerr acknowledged the challenge Brazil poses with their relentless play.
“We need to be on edge and ready for them because they’re not going to back down,” he concluded.
Team USA’s journey to the quarterfinals has been marked by dominant performances.
