Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker has embraced his role on Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On a team filled with future Hall of Famers, Booker has adjusted to playing a different role.

“Just understanding you have to play a role,” Booker said, via Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic.

He added, “I always took pride in being able to do a little bit of everything on the court.”

Booker acknowledged that his role may not always involve scoring, stating, “It’s not always going to be our scoring ability.”

He emphasized the importance of focusing on game details even if not the primary scorer.

“You never know when your moment is going to be,” Booker said.

He strives to be “solid all around even if it’s not scoring the ball.”

Booker highlighted his commitment to defending at a high level and facilitating team play.

In the first two games in Paris, Booker is averaging team-high 24 minutes per game. He is contributing 11 points and 5.5 assists per game for the Americans.
