Maccabi Tel Aviv has bolstered its roster with the addition of Jordan Loyd on a two-year contract from AS Monaco.
The 30-year-old American guard joins Maccabi after a successful stint with Monaco, where he contributed 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2 assists per game across 20 EuroLeague appearances, helping Monaco reach the playoffs.
During his time with Monaco, Loyd played a pivotal role in securing two French League titles and guiding the team to its first EuroLeague Final Four in 2023.
Having made his EuroLeague debut with Valencia Basket in the 2019-20 season, Loyd has consistently posted double-digit scoring averages throughout his career in Europe, including during stints with Crvena Zvezda Belgrade and Zenit St. Petersburg.
Loyd’s career highlights also feature an NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019, making him one of the most decorated players in European basketball.
This move marks Loyd’s return to Israel, where he previously played for Hapoel Eliat during the 2017-18 season.
