The Utah Jazz are uncertain about trading Lauri Markkanen this offseason, but they are open to offers as he approaches the final year of his contract without an extension. Any renegotiation and extension with Markkanen would require the Jazz to maintain their cap space and wait until August.

“One player a number of teams have tried to target [is] Lauri Markkanen of the Utah Jazz,” said Adrian Wojnarowski on Sports Center. “Utah is not sure it wants to trade him, but they have to listen. They’ve been listening.

“And a lot of the teams who lost out on Mikal Bridges from Brooklyn have transferred over to try to see if they can land Lauri Markkanen out of Utah. Golden State is one of those teams.”
