The Los Angeles Lakers have signed undrafted small forward Blake Hinson out of Pittsburgh.

Hinson joins the team on a two-way contract, aiming to provide depth and shooting to the Lakers’ roster.

Michael Scotto tweeted that the Lakers secured Hinson, who shot 42.1 percent from three-point range at Pittsburgh.

Hinson, 24, had an impressive season with the Panthers, averaging 18.5 points and 4.4 rebounds in 33.6 minutes per game.

The Lakers’ recent draft picks, Dalton Knecht at No. 17 and Bronny James at No. 55, along with the signing of Hinson and Quincy Olivari, indicate the team’s focus on adding young talent with high potential.

Hinson’s two-way contract allows him to split time between the Lakers and their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, providing him with ample opportunities to develop.
