The Chicago Bulls have extended a qualifying offer to Patrick Williams, according to a report from Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, ensuring he remains a restricted free agent this offseason.

Williams, the former No. 4 overall draft pick, was on a four-year, $32 million rookie contract with the Bulls.

This move allows the Bulls to match any offer sheet Williams receives from other teams in free agency, maintaining control over his future.

During the past season, the 22-year-old forward averaged 10 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 27.3 minutes per game.

As a restricted free agent, Williams has the opportunity to negotiate with other teams, but the Bulls can match any contract offer to retain him.
