A.E.K.- Aris 74-83
AEK’s undefeated run came to an end as the “Emperor” stormed past them after a great 3rd quarter. Until that point, the game was pretty close but with Aris being on the driver’s seat for most of the time. After their explosive 3rd period, they only had to contain AEK’s biggest offensive threats to reach the win. D.J. Cooper’s debut for the defeated team was very positive with 12 points (3/6 3p.) but MVP was Oscar White for Aris, with 20 points and 7 rebounds.
P.A.O.K.- Arkadikos 74-54
Relaxing game at home for PAOK, who played some great defense and easily overtook Arkadikos’ obstacle behind Tepic and Markovic’s 12 points. Key point was the 3rd period since Arkadikos never returned from the locker rooms, suffering a 27-5 run.
Trikala B.C.- Kolossos Rhodes 89-86
Trikala fans gave their team a much needed boost to dominate Kolossos during the last minute and grab a big win, having Robinson in great shape, 23 points. McGee and Lewis had 18 and 19 points but it was not enough for Kolossos.
A.E.N.Kifissias- Apollon Patras 79-82
Another close game, this time Apollon emerged winners against AENK in a back ‘n’ forth game with both sides having more than a couple of chances to get in control but finally the game was a nail biting one until the buzzer. Kevin Dillard shined with 28 points 4 rebounds and 5 assists.
Koroivos Amaliadas- A.G.O.Rethimno 83-79
Koroivos started the game strong, leading 47-27 at halftime, AGOR did their best to turn things around and they may have made it if thy had just a little bit more time. However, Koroivos did not panic in the end and got away with a more stressful win than what was predicted at halftime. Davis was outstanding once again with 22 points and 9 rebounds.
Kavala B.C.- Olympiacos 57-71
Olympiacos started the game very strong ending the opening quarter in front 11-24. After that point they only played tight defense and got the win on the road without being on top of their game. Tapoutos was the top scorer of the match with 17 points for Kavala but Hunter and Strawberry both added 13 for the “Reds”
Lavrio G.S.- Panathinaikos 72-79
Dimitris Diamantidis made his 500th appearence in the Greek Basket League but Lavrio almost spoiled their celebrations. During the first half Lavrio resisted but Raduljica was unstoppable with 23 points and 10 rebounds, having the precious help of Nick Kalathes (16 points and 10 assists).
