Here’s 2023-24 NBA All-Rookie Second Team member Keyonte George speaking about defending other team’s top guards/wanting to learn from new Utah Jazz VP of Player Development Avery Bradley back at his exit interview last month.

(via Utah Jazz):

“I think I guarded a lot of high level guards this year early in the season, middle of the season, and even now. So I want to be one of those people that’s able to take that matchup, for sure. Personnel-wise for our team, we got Taylor [Hendricks], he might take that matchup on a night-to-night basis. But defensively, I definitely want to be one of the guys where Lamar [Skeeter] and Will [Hardy] look at me and say, ‘You got [Devin] Book[er].’ Or, ‘You got Don[ovan] [Mitchell].’ Or anybody. I just want to be there and be in great shape, so I’m able to chase Steph[en] [Curry] around for 48 if I need to. So when it comes to that, I just want to be versatile. I want to be a great pick-and-roll defender and off-the-ball defender. So I think the conversations that Imma have with Avery Bradley… He’s going to be in here, Imma pick his brain, little tips and tricks. But I think it’s just a want to, and I feel like I have that within me. Being in the best shape possible, it’ll even take me to another level to be able to defend at a high level.”
