Shai Gilgeous-Alexander showcased his brilliance as he guided the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder to a dominant 117-95 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series.
Gilgeous-Alexander’s standout performance of 29 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists propelled the Thunder to a convincing victory.
In contrast, Luka Doncic struggled to find his rhythm, scoring 19 points on 6-for-19 shooting and committing five turnovers for the Mavericks.
Chet Holmgren contributed significantly for OKC with 19 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks, while Jalen Williams added 18 points to secure the Thunder’s unbeaten record in the playoffs.
Kyrie Irving led the way for the Mavericks with 20 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Oklahoma City’s balanced attack.
The Thunder’s defensive performance held the Mavericks to just 39.3% shooting from the field.
