In a dramatic Game 5 against the New York Knicks, Tyrese Maxey delivered a career-defining performance, erupting for 46 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a thrilling 112-106 overtime victory.

With just 25 seconds remaining, Maxey staged a seven-point run, including a clutch four-point play and a game-tying 35-foot bomb that silenced the roaring Knicks crowd.

Despite Joel Embiid’s subdued performance, recording 19 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists, the Sixers avoided elimination and forced Game 6.

Tobias Harris contributed 19 points and eight rebounds, while Kelly Oubre Jr. added 15 points for Philadelphia.

Jalen Brunson led the charge for the Knicks by scoring 40 points, but it wasn’t enough to avoid the defeat. Josh Hart was close to double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds, while OG Anunoby added 17 points. Miles McBride scored 14 off the bench.

The series now shift back to Philadelphia for Game 6.
