Despite a challenging season that saw the Portland Trail Blazers finish at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 21-61 record, the team has decided to retain Chauncey Billups as the head coach, according to general manager Joe Cronin.

Despite the team’s struggles, the Trail Blazers have opted to maintain stability in their coaching staff as they navigate through a period of transition and rebuilding.

Following Damian Lillard’s trade and the team’s entry into a rebuilding phase, the Trail Blazers believe in Billups’ leadership and coaching abilities to guide the team through the upcoming season.

Billups, who will be entering his fourth season as the head coach of the Trail Blazers. With him in charge, Portland is yet to make the postseason, finishing 13th twice and 15th once in the West.
