The Detroit Pistons (14-67) clinched a commanding 107-89 victory over the Dallas Mavericks (50-31), who opted to rest their star players Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Marcus Sasser stole the spotlight scoring 24 points fueling the Pistons’ triumphant win. Chimezie Metu also made significant contributions to Detroit’s victory, tallying 18 points, including matching a career-high with four 3-pointers.

Despite missing key players like Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren due to injuries, the Pistons snapped a six-game losing streak.

Jalen Hardy led the Mavericks’ efforts with a season-high 25 points off the bench, supported by Olivier-Maxence Prosper’s 16 points, but their contributions were not enough to overcome the Pistons’ dominance.

With the loss, the Mavericks are set to finish fifth in the Western Conference, preparing to face the fourth-place Los Angeles Clippers in the opening round of the playoffs.
