Los Angeles Clippers point guard Russell Westbrook weighed in on Nikola Jokic’s impressive triple-double performances, asserting his own unique prowess on the court.
Despite acknowledging Jokic’s skills, Westbrook emphasized that there is nobody quite like him in the league.
In a post-game interview, Westbrook made it clear that while Jokic is undoubtedly a formidable player, he believes his own style of play sets him apart from others in the league.
“Well listen, ain’t nobody like me. Ain’t nobody like me. We’re gonna stop that right there. Nobody like me,” Westbrook said, via ClutchPoints. “Nikola is a hell of a player, but he’s not me, I’m not him. Obviously, he’s won MVP, a tough guard, excellent passer, knows how to play the right way, competes hard. Tonight we got the best of him.”
Westbrook’s statement comes in the wake of Jokic’s 24th triple-double of the season, where he amassed 36 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Clippers.
