Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald reports that due to injuries disrupting their season, the Miami Heat won’t have the luxury of relying on continuity in the playoffs. However, coach Erik Spoelstra sees a potential silver lining. Miami has utilized 34 different starting lineups this season, trailing only Memphis and Portland in this regard.

Spoelstra believes that this extensive lineup variation has provided valuable opportunities for many players to garner significant minutes, which could prove advantageous for the team moving forward.

“There’s always going to be a benefit,” he said. “A lot of guys get to step up and earn the opportunity to impact winning. The more players that can be engaged in a season and impact wins, that helps. Our versatility is super important for our team. So we feel like we’ve been able to weather some of the missed games.”
