The Detroit Pistons announced in a press release that wing Stanley Umude will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2023/24 season due to a hairline fracture in his right ankle, sustained during Wednesday’s game against Indiana. Fortunately, Umude’s injury does not necessitate surgery, and he is expected to fully recover, according to the Pistons.

Umude, a second-year guard/forward, had primarily been on a two-way contract with Detroit this season before transitioning to a standard deal last month. The Pistons retain a team option for the 24-year-old’s minimum salary for the 2024/25 season.
