Deandre Ayton opened up about facing personal challenges in adapting to his trade from Phoenix to Portland, as revealed to Aaron Fentress of The Oregonian. However, Ayton expressed feeling more settled now, evident in his recent performances.
Over his last five games, the Trail Blazers center has averaged an impressive 27.2 points and 15.0 rebounds. Ayton emphasized the human aspect of adjusting to new surroundings and teammates, acknowledging its significance in his journey.
“I felt like I adjusted quickly. But at the same time, it’s good to acknowledge that we are human and things like that do have to take into place where you have to adjust to certain cities and teammates and things like that,” Ayton said.
