Memphis Grizzlies’ sharpshooter Desmond Bane gears up to return to action against the Oklahoma City Thunder after battling a mid-season Grade 3 ankle sprain.

Bane’s highly anticipated return comes after an extensive rehabilitation process, with Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins expressing confidence in the shooting guard’s recovery.

Jenkins praised Bane’s dedication and hard work during his recovery, highlighting the guard’s determination to bounce back from the setback.

“We anticipate all those guys being in tomorrow,” Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said, per DaMichael Cole of Memphis Commercial Appeal. “Des has been working his tail off. Obviously, a freak ankle thing that happened in January, and he was trying to get out of that boot as quickly as possible. The last couple of weeks have been really impressive. His three-on-three, five-on-five and all the things he was working on individually. He’s got that same pop.”

With career-high averages of 24.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game this season, Bane has been a vital contributor to the Grizzlies’ success.
