Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard praises San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama, envisioning the towering center’s ascent to NBA greatness in the near future.

In a recent appearance on the “Dan Patrick Show,” Lillard shared his admiration for Wembanyama’s exceptional talents, drawing parallels between the rookie’s skills and those of renowned stars like Kevin Durant.

Lillard highlighted Wembanyama’s towering stature at 7-foot-5 and his remarkable versatility, reminiscent of Durant’s dominance on the court.

“I think we’ve always been extremely impressed with Kevin Durant doing it at 6-foot-11, now you have a dude who is 7-foot-5 doing the same thing,” Lillard said, per Cody Taylor or The Rookie Wire. “It is just getting crazy. I think Wemby is special. I think how competitive he is is what surprised me the most and that’s what makes me think that very soon I can see him being the best player in the league.”

With averages of 20.6 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.4 blocks, and 3.4 assists per game, Wembanyama has quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with in his debut NBA season.
