Despite a standout performance from Victor Wembanyama, the Golden State Warriors (34-30) secured a 112-102 victory over the San Antonio Spurs (14-51) on Monday night, led by Jonathan Kuminga’s 21 points and Klay Thompson’s 20.

Wembanyama showcased his skills with 27 points and 14 rebounds for the Spurs, making a significant impact in his return from a one-game absence due to a sprained ankle.

In the absence of Stephen Curry, Chris Paul was put in the starting lineup and was close to a triple-double with 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

Trayce Jackson-Davis provided a highlight-reel moment with a thunderous one-handed dunk over Wembanyama in the closing minutes of the game.

Wembanyama’s effort was supported by 17 points from Devin Vassell and 16 points and six rebounds and Keldon Johnson.
