The NBA has announced that Pistons’ center Isaiah Stewart will serve a three-game suspension without pay for his involvement in a pre-game altercation with Suns’ player Drew Eubanks last week in Phoenix.

According to the league’s statement, Stewart punched and pushed Eubanks during the incident.

The suspension is set to commence on Thursday against Indiana. Eubanks, who claimed to have been sucker-punched by Stewart in the hallway of the Footprint Center before the game, confirmed he wasn’t injured and was able to play in the Suns’ victory.

Stewart had been dealing with an ankle sprain and was set to be active for the first time in several weeks.

Additionally, Stewart was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge and issued a citation before being released.
