The injury struggles persist for the injury-plagued Memphis Grizzlies, as the team announced on Friday morning that guard Scotty Pippen Jr. has been diagnosed with a bulging disc in his lower back. This diagnosis follows an MRI conducted due to soreness in the area.

The team plans to manage Pippen’s ailment conservatively, employing physical therapy. The Grizzlies stated that Pippen will be reevaluated in three weeks. Pippen, who signed a two-way contract with Memphis a month ago, had been actively participating at the NBA level in recent weeks.

Over eight games, four of which he started since January 20, he displayed strong performances, averaging 10.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in 22.6 minutes per night, with an impressive shooting line of .475/.565/.714.
