Washington Wizards small forward Deni Avdija explained how he generates his offense from defending and rebounding after Wednesday’s 133-126 road loss vs. the New Orleans Pelicans (43 points/15 rebounds/3 assists/1 block/13-24 FG/6-10 3-PT/11-13 FT/+14 +/-).

*43 points, 13 made field goals, 6 made threes, and 11 made free throws were all career-highs*

“I think a lot of my offense comes from me competing on defense and making stops and getting the rebounds. That’s how I get in the game, that’s my bread and butter. It’s always going to be there, regardless of the offense, and I feel like that’s what gets me going a lot of games: Getting through the defense, knowing the personnel, be there for my teammates, and making big plays for the team to be able to compete.”
