In an impressive performance, the Rockets established a significant lead, reaching a 30-point advantage in the second half. The Lakers mounted a late comeback with a 20-5 run, narrowing the gap to 10 points, but the Rockets swiftly responded.

Jalen Green contributed 34 points to the victory. Sengun added 31 points, both players displaying versatility with 12 rebounds and seven assists each.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and D’Angelo Russell scored 23 points each for the Lakers, who were coming off a double-overtime victory against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.

Cam Whitmore provided valuable support off the bench for the Rockets, contributing 20 points. Jabari Smith Jr. made a noteworthy return with 18 points and nine rebounds after missing four games due to a sprained left ankle.

Jarred Vanderbilt of the Lakers was ejected in the second quarter after receiving two technical fouls during an exchange with the Rockets’ Dillon Brooks.
