Lauri Markkanen scored 33 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, leading the Utah Jazz (24-23) to a 134-122 victory over the Charlotte Hornets (10-34) on Saturday night, marking their 11th win in 15 games.

Collin Sexton contributed 24 points and 13 assists, while John Collins added 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Despite a late rally from the Hornets, fueled by P.J. Washington’s career-high 43 points, the Jazz managed to secure the win.

While Charlotte mounted a comeback in the second half, narrowing the deficit to seven points from being down 35, but they were unable to close the gap.

The Hornets played without key starters, including LaMelo Ball, who sat out with ankle soreness, along with Gordon Hayward and Mark Williams.
