In a bold declaration, Kevin Durant, the two-time NBA champion currently with the Phoenix Suns, questions why his name is not included in the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) debate dominated by Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

Durant, reflecting on his journey and accomplishments, expressed his belief that he deserves consideration in the GOAT conversation.

“Because I went to the Warriors,” Durant told Duane Ranking of The Republic. “Why shouldn’t I be in that? That’s the question you should ask. Why not? What haven’t I done?”

This season Durant is averaging 29.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in 37 minutes per game. His career numbers are 27.3 points, 7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in 36.7 minutes per game, showcasing his consistent elite performance.

While the GOAT debate traditionally revolves around Jordan and James, Durant’s assertion adds a new perspective to the ongoing discussion, challenging the notion that only a select few should be part of this elite conversation.
