Scot Pollard, a retired NBA player known for his distinctive hairstyles and a memorable stint on the television show “Survivor,” currently needs a heart transplant.
Recent images posted by his wife, Dawn Pollard, on January 10, reveal that the former NBA champion has undergone numerous surgeries and medical examinations.
He is grappling with a hereditary heart condition resulting from a virus he contracted in 2021, mirroring the circumstances of his father, Pearl Pollard, who passed away from a similar condition 30 years ago.
“3 failed heart ablations, pacemaker/defibrillator, all the drugs and side effects, heart biopsies, heart catheter tests, CT/MRI scans, countless viles of blood taken, ER trips, myocarditis, pericarditis-all over the past 3 years…and now heart transplant list,” Dawn wrote on X.
