The Golden State Warriors (18-22) fell against a depleted Memphis Grizzlies (15-25) team on the road, 107-116 as Draymond Green returned from his suspension.

The 33-year-old former Defensive Player of the Year came off the bench and played 24 minutes in which he scored seven points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists.

After the game Green pointed at the Warriors’ defense as the main cause of concern, saying that until every player starts taking pride on the defensive end of the floor, the team will keep on losing.

“It falls off on having pride, just got to have pride in yourself as a man that I’m not going to let my guy score,” Green said. “Our close-outs were too soft, our rotations were too slow. So it’s just no pride. Until every guy take pride in themselves and want to stop the guy in front of them, we’ll suck…

“We can’t guard nobody. Until we guard, we lose… Individuals make up a team and individually our defense suck, so in turn our team defense suck.”
