In a stellar return from injury, Joel Embiid dropped 41 points and secured 10 rebounds to propel the Philadelphia 76ers (25-13) to a 124-115 victory over the Houston Rockets (19-20) on Monday. Tyrese Maxey complemented the performance with 27 points for the Sixers.

Patrick Beverley (11 points) and Tobias Harris (10 points) were the only other Philadelphia players to score in double-digits.

Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun led the Rockets with 20 and 19 points respectively, while Dillon Brooks contributed 18 in a hard-fought contest.

Despite a late-game surge from the Rockets, Embiid’s consistent scoring secured the Sixers’ victory.
