Amidst recent speculations surrounding a reported disconnect between head coach Darvin Ham and some Los Angeles Lakers players, the team is reinforcing its commitment to the second-year coach.

According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, despite a challenging stretch with 11 losses in their last 16 games and an 18-point defeat against the Phoenix Suns, Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka have assured Ham that his coaching position is secure.

League sources tell Bleacher Report that the Lakers are standing by Ham, emphasizing their dedication to the coach during a tumultuous phase in the season.

In a statement, Ham expressed his gratitude for the open communication with Pelinka, stating, “I speak to Rob every day, and we’re always discussing ways to improve our team and what we can do better as a coaching staff.”

The Lakers, with a current record of 19-20, are navigating the challenges of coaching a team led by basketball icon LeBron James.

As the Lakers strive for improvement, the organization is standing firmly behind Ham, demonstrating their confidence in his ability to guide the team through its current struggles.
