Asked about the jaw-dropping dunk post-game, Morant downplayed any premeditated excitement, stating, “The moment was just like any other moment for me when somebody guards me. My goal is to score… Nah, I didn’t wake up, like, ‘Yeah, I’m going to go,’ no, it wasn’t no excitement. I don’t try to dunk on people like I used to no more… I know that’s what everybody wanted. So my late Christmas gift. Happy New Year gift,” Morant shared.
