In the midst of a challenging season with a 28-game losing streak, the Detroit Pistons (2-29) remain steadfast in their commitment to retaining veteran player Bojan Bogdanovic, despite his high demand across the league.

The Pistons, anchored by a promising young core featuring Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren, Ausrar Thompson, and Jaden Ivey, are focused on their long-term rebuilding strategy.

Following the recent overtime defeat against the Boston Celtics that tied the NBA’s longest losing streak, Sam Vecenie of The Athletic reports that Detroit is reluctant to part ways with Bogdanovic, emphasizing their intention to hold on to valuable assets.

Vecenie notes, “The Pistons want to be good and don’t want to trade good players, even if Bogdanovic’s role is reduced to a bench scorer next season.”

Bogdanovic, 34, stands as the Pistons’ second-highest scorer, contributing 19.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 34 minutes per game.

Despite the challenging season, Detroit’s front office remains resolute in building a competitive team for the future and is unwilling to entertain offers for Bogdanovic unless an irresistible proposition surfaces.
