The Chicago Bulls (14-18) clinched a 118-113 victory against the Atlanta Hawks (12-18), with DeMar DeRozan and Andre Drummond taking center stage.

Andre Drummond, stepping into the starting lineup for the first time this season, showcased his prowess with season highs of 24 points and a remarkable 25 rebounds during his 39 minutes on the court. This outstanding performance played a crucial role, especially in the absence of Nikola Vucevic.

Expressing his mindset, Drummond boldly stated, “My mentality is I’m not a backup,” as reported by K.C. Johnson. When questioned about the challenges of being a backup, Drummond responded with conviction, saying, “It’s not hard to be a good teammate.”

This season, the 30-year-old center has maintained solid contributions, averaging 6.2 points and 6.8 rebounds in just 13.5 minutes per game.
