In a special pre-game ceremony, the Los Angeles Lakers celebrated their victory in the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament by hanging the championship banner in the arena before facing the New York Knicks.

The Purple and Gold secured the trophy with a triumph over the Indiana Pacers in Las Vegas earlier this month.

Despite the banner celebration, the Lakers couldn’t secure a win against the Knicks in a closely contested match.

LeBron James, who contributed 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists to the game, shared his thoughts on the banner hanging, stating, “I think it’s awesome. To be acknowledged for wins throughout the course of the marathon, I think it’s pretty cool.”

James emphasized the significance of sharing the celebratory moment with fans who couldn’t be present in Vegas, highlighting the lasting impact of such occasions.
