In a surprising turn of events, the Chicago Bulls (11-17) halted the Philadelphia 76ers’ (18-8) six-game winning streak with a 108-104 victory, leaving Joel Embiid to ponder the team’s performance.
Despite Embiid’s stellar 40-point, 13-rebound effort, the Sixers fell short, and Embiid pointed to issues with the team’s fundamentals.
“Spacing wasn’t right. I think we kinda forgot our fundamentals,” remarked Embiid in response to the Sixers’ lack of execution, as reported by Sam DiGiovanni of ClutchPoints. “But, you know, that happens. We’ve been on a roll, and I think tonight a lot of it also had to do with not making shots for really the first three quarters.”
