Joel Embiid showcased his brilliance with a remarkable performance, leading the Philadelphia 76ers (18-7) to a stunning 135-82 victory against the injury-ridden Charlotte Hornets (7-17).

Embiid’s commanding 42 points and 15 rebounds spearheaded the 76ers’ dominant win, handing the Hornets their most significant franchise loss.

The 53-point defeat marked the Hornets’ worst loss in franchise history, surpassing their previous record set in 2000.

The 76ers wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Embiid outscoring the entire Hornets team in the first quarter, setting the tone for a commanding performance. Tyrese Maxey contributed 21 points, complementing Embiid’s stellar play.

Charlotte played without key starters LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, and Mark Williams, as well as crucial reserves P.J. Washington and Cody Martin. To make matters worse, top scorer Terry Rozier exited the game in the third quarter after sustaining a nose injury.
