Despite James Harden’s trade request, the star remains with the 76ers as the regular season approaches, causing ongoing speculation within the team and among fans.
Assistant Coach Bobby Jackson shed light on the team’s focus during a recent interview on SiriusXM NBA Radio, emphasizing the players’ ability to maintain their concentration and commitment to training despite the persistent trade talks.
“When you have outside distractions or inside distractions, I think the guys have put it aside and come in and locked in every single day,” he said.
Jackson also shared the message from head coach Nick Nurse, emphasizing the importance of focusing on what they can control.
“We can control what we can control. I think that’s the message Nick [Nurse] has been sending,” he said.
“We had a really, really good training camp, went to Fort Collins, Colorado and James was actually there. He actually did everything. And Joel [Embiid] was there. So we had a really, really good feel for what we want to do and what we want to accomplish.”
