In a surprising turn of events, James Harden, who had been notably absent as the 76ers prepared for their season opener against the Bucks, has returned to Philadelphia.

The former MVP, who has requested to be traded to the Clippers, had been in Houston, where he was reportedly staying with his ailing mother.

NBA insider Shams Charania broke the news on X, announcing that after a 10-day absence, Harden reported back to the Philadelphia 76ers for practice.

Initially, it seemed that Harden was set to join the team on the road for upcoming games against the Bucks and the Raptors. However, sources have since revealed that the 76ers have asked him not to travel with the team.
