On Wednesday morning, Gianmarco Pozzecco was formally appointed as the head coach of LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne.

He was slated to assume leadership, succeeding T.J. Parker in guiding the French club. Eurohoops had verified the agreement with ASVEL the day before.

“I am very happy to welcome Gianmarco!” team president Tony Parker responded. “He will change our momentum with his enormous energy and top-notch experience. I can’t wait to enjoy his impact on the players on the floor.”

ASVEL has affirmed that Pozzecco will continue to serve as the head coach of Italy’s senior national team.

The Italian Basketball Federation (FIP) has given its approval for the transition, ensuring that it doesn’t impact his role with the Azzurri.

Additionally, his assistant, Edoardo Casalone, will juggle responsibilities between both international duties between Italy and club duties in Villeurbanne.
